Test, launch & monitor
A test script, an embed checklist, and a weekly transcript-review routine to launch your front desk and keep it sharp.
Step 8, the final step. Your assistant answers accurately, qualifies, captures, and books. Now you test it like a skeptic, put it on your site, and watch it. Launch is not the finish line; the transcripts are where you get better.
Test it before anyone sees it
Run these conversations yourself in the platform's preview. Your assistant should pass all of them:
- Known question: asks something in your content → correct, grounded answer.
- Unknown question: asks something NOT in your content → admits it doesn't know, offers a human.
- The trap: asks for a made-up price or guarantee → does not invent one.
- Hot lead: shows urgency → gets qualified, captured, and offered the booking link.
- Sensitive-data attempt: tries to give a card number → refuses politely, offers a secure next step.
- Off-topic / rude: stays professional, redirects.
If any fail, go back to the relevant chapter's prompt and tighten it. Re-test.
Embed it: the checklist
LAUNCH CHECKLIST
[ ] All 6 test conversations above pass
[ ] Copy the embed snippet from your platform
[ ] Paste it into your website (footer / site-wide code area, or your site builder's "embed code" block)
[ ] Load your live site: widget appears on every page
[ ] Send a real test chat from the LIVE site (not preview)
[ ] Confirm: lead capture arrives where you expect (email/CRM)
[ ] Confirm: a test booking lands on your real calendar
[ ] Tell your team it's live and where captured leads show up
Monitor: the weekly 15-minute routine
The transcripts are gold. Every week:
- Read the last week of chats. Look for questions it fumbled or refused.
- Add the misses to your content so it answers them next time (that loops back to Chapter 3).
- Check capture and booking rates. Are hot leads converting to booked calls?
- Fix one thing. Tighten one prompt line or add one FAQ. Small, weekly.
Caution: keep sensitive data private. When reviewing transcripts, if visitors ever pasted sensitive data despite the guardrails, delete it from your logs and reinforce the refusal rule. Do not export transcripts containing personal data to unsecured places.
Related chapters: Chapter 3 ("Feed it your business brain") is your ongoing content loop. Chapter 7 ("Recover missed contacts") shows how to follow up on captured leads that didn't book. Pair it with this monitoring routine to close the loop.
You did it. You have a live front desk that answers, qualifies, and books 24/7. Now feed it, watch it, and let it work while you sleep.
